Avoid Screened Text in InDesign
This one is pretty basic. If you notice that you are getting screened type when you output jobs from InDesign to a compoiste printers such as a black and white copier or color printer, make sure to check "Composite Leave unchanged" in the Output section of InDesign's print dialogs.
If you choose Composite (Gray, RBG, CMYK) InDesign trys to mimic how the text will look if it was printed on an offset press which tends to have a little lighter black than tonor machines.
